Our Doctors

Dr. Mark Ketcham
I was born and raised on Long Island, New York. I graduated high school in West Babylon, a town 30 miles east of New York City. I studied animal science at Arizona State University where I received a Bachelor of Science degree. I received a Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine degree from the University of Illinois. After working as a veterinarian in central Phoenix for 2½ years, I opened Fletcher Heights Animal Hospital, in November of 2000. I have one cat, "Pipi" and one dog, "Zuch." I enjoy the Arizona outdoors and spending time with my wife and children.

Dr. Andrea Cohen
I grew up here in the Valley of the Sun. After graduating from Horizon High School, I received a Bachelor of Science degree in Zoology from Michigan State University, graduating in just 3 years. Following this, I moved to Fort Collins, Colorado, and obtained my Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from Colorado State University. I continued my education in veterinary medicine after graduation, completing a rotating internship in small animal medicine and surgery in a large specialty practice in Middletown, Connecticut. I am happy to be back in the warm Phoenix weather with my husband, our baby daughter, and our 3 dogs, a black Labrador retriever, a golden retriever and a shepherd/heeler mix. In my free time, I enjoy cooking, reading, hiking, gardening and singing.

Dr. Katherine Peachey
I grew up in Norco, a small horse town in Southern California. I obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Animal Science from Cal Poly Pomona in 2013. Then, I moved to Columbus, Ohio, and received my Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine from The Ohio State University in 2017. My husband and I decided to move back out west to Phoenix, with our animals to be closer to family. In my free time, I enjoy spending time with family, riding my Arabian horses, and doing agility with my two Sheltie's, Harley and Stella.

Dr. Kimberly Alvarez
I was born and raised in Los Angeles, California, but moved to Arizona when I was 15 years old. I stayed in Arizona for my undergraduate degree and attended the University of Arizona. I earned my Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine at Midwestern University in May 2019, and shortly after, joined the Fletcher Heights Animal Hospital & Grooming family. Although I’m passionate about all aspects of veterinary medicine, I’m most interested in small animal medicine and exotic pets.
I live with my 2 chihuahuas, pug, cat, and hamster. In my downtime, I enjoy spending time with my friends and family (including my fur family), watching TV and gardening.

Dr. Megan Davidson
I grew up in the beach town of Melbourne, Florida and completed my bachelor's degree at the University of Florida. I graduated from veterinary school in 2018 from North Carolina State University. Additionally, I obtained my Certification of Veterinary Acupuncture (CVA) which allows me to incorporate alternative means to treat many conditions that affect our four-legged loved ones. Before moving to AZ and joining the Fletcher Heights team I worked at a small animal hospital for a couple years called Carolina Ranch Animal Hospital. My favorite body organ is the eyeball!
At home, I live with my sweet dilute calico kitty named Zara, my goofball brindle dog, Brewster, and my amazing fiancé Ben. In my free time, I enjoy reading, camping, hiking, and traveling.

Dr. Jennifer Mayo
I was born and raised right here in Phoenix, AZ, and am a proud graduate of Arizona State University (Go Devils!). After receiving my undergraduate degree in Biology, I attended Midwestern University in Glendale, AZ where I earned my Doctor of Veterinary Medicine. I’ve always had a passion for animals, and started my first veterinary job in 2016 as an animal care attendant at a small animal clinic. In 2017, I became part of the AZPetVet family when I joined the team at AZPetVet Norterra Animal Hospital as a veterinary technician while continuing my education. I also completed work-study at the MWU barn, working with cows and horses – it was a fantastic experience! Professionally, I enjoy soft tissue surgery, preventative care, and am interested in exploring exotic medicine; I have yet to meet a species that I haven’t fallen in love with! I love being an advocate for my patients and partnering with their families to make the best decisions for their health and well-being.
At home, I have an amazing husband, Tyler, who has supported me all through undergrad and veterinary school. Our babies include a 6-year-old whippet-lab mix named Lilith, and a 3-year-old pug named Scooter. In our free time, we enjoy taking our RZR off-roading, as well as our quads and dirt bikes. We love kayaking, camping, and hiking all around beautiful Arizona.
